GEORGE – Private – 12886 – 4th Battalion South Wales Borderers – died 20th August 1915 – age 21 – son of Mary Eliza Crockett of 10 High Street, Llanhilleth and John George Crockett – buried at Portianos Military Cemetery, Greece – memorial reference, – I B 44 – commemorated on the Abertillery Central Memorial, Somerset Street, Abertillery – commemorated on the Central Memorial, Llanhilleth Colliery Workmens Institute and Club, Llanhilleth – commemorated on the St. Michael’s Church Memorial, Church Street, Abertillery.
