I have a Balance sheet of Mrs Florence M Head. A Draper of 13, Commercial Road, Llanhilleth. Circa 1946-47.The property was bought at a cost of £730 in 1946.A further two properties bought in 1945- 6,Upper Court Terrace and 5, Upper Court Terrace, were both purchased for £200 each. Her husband was Edmund Head who had a motorbike and sidecar ,selling ice-cream and a notice ” stop me and buy one”.I have photos of them both and of him selling the ice-cream.
My father was Harry Buffin who came from Caefelin Street, he married Jocelyn, a daughter of Florence and Edmund Head.
