Darryl Cross: Kung Fu World Champion

Probably Llanhilleth’s first World Champion in any sport, Darryl Cross was born at 48, Blaencuffin Road, Llanhilleth in Nov. 1961, the son of Ray and Sylvia Cross.

He was six times British ‘Full Contact’ Kung Fu Champion from 1995 to 2001.

His many combat titles included; European Champion, in Ulm, Germany in 2007 & World Champion, Guang Zhou, China,1996 and also British coach at the World Championships in Germany 2009.

Possibly, Llanhilleth’s first Champion in combat fighting, at the highest level.
