Aberbeeg Railway Junction
This photograph shows the busy and very important railway junction at Aberbeeg, where the railway lines serving the Ebbw Fach and Ebbw Fawr valleys met.
The train was probably taking iron ore to Ebbw Vales steelworks and was being pulled by an 92.000 class engine with a “banker” behind. Houses in the background include, Brondeg, built for J.R. Webb and family (Brewers), The Nook and The Firs.
